Two-Factor Authentication
Add an authenticator app for an extra layer of security on your account.
Overview
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second step to sign-in: after your email code, you also enter a 6-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone. This protects your account even if someone gains access to your email. Tetri Copilot supports any standard TOTP authenticator, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password.
How to Turn On 2FA
- 1
Click your name or avatar in the top-right corner and choose "My Account".
- 2
Find the Two-Factor Authentication card and click "Set up".
- 3
Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (or type the shown key into the app manually).
- 4
Your app starts generating a new 6-digit code every 30 seconds.
- 5
Enter the current 6-digit code from the app to confirm, then save.
- 6
Two-factor authentication is now enabled. You will be asked for an app code each time you sign in.
Important
Keep your authenticator app and device safe. If you lose access to it, you may be locked out โ there is currently no self-service reset. See Account Access & Recovery for what to do, and ask your workspace owner or support for help before you lose the device.
If Your Administrator Requires 2FA
A platform administrator can require two-factor authentication for everyone. If that policy is on and you have not set up 2FA yet, the app sends you to the My Account page and asks you to set up an authenticator before you can use the rest of the application. Once enabled, you have full access again.
How to Turn Off 2FA
- 1
Open My Account from the user menu.
- 2
On the Two-Factor Authentication card, click "Disable".
- 3
Confirm. You will no longer be asked for an app code at sign-in (unless your administrator requires 2FA).
